I love walking in the snow. Fuzzy waterproof boots and warm hats and gloves are therapy.
I know where it isn't winter, and she is happy that I'm going there. I'm not gonna stop smiling for decades.
You were the topic of Tommy and my conversation today at not band practice. We agreed that you are the perfect non-ideal minister. That you have somehow done all of us a favor by being around. So thanks, capt'n holy pants. You are my favorite.
Posted by: rogneish at February 9, 2010 10:29 PMYou know what is really funny about this post? When it showed up on my RSS reader the video wasn't included. So it said "a walk in the snow" and then a blank field of white under it. Sorta like the old joke about a polar bear in a snow storm. :o)
Posted by: JimmerSD at February 10, 2010 08:35 AMLoved this, including your glorious hat.
I was particularly fond of the juxtaposed religious icon & pinwheel on the coffee shop table.
But even more, I love the above commenter's name for you. "Captain Holy Pants" FTW!
Posted by: Megan at February 10, 2010 09:29 AMThanks for sharing your walk in the snow. Loved your reflections - on God being in the world and the church as capstone - as the truck rumbled by and your steps crunched in the snow.
Any chance you would be willing to share your "Spiritual Fuel" morning prayer liturgy? I especially enjoyed the "For the Road."
Thanks again for letting us walk with you.
