meals?

Do meals count as work when you meet during them? I am certain they do. Yet, I find the presence of food strangely altering to the work-like atmosphere. Interesting.

I've been thinking lately about the emotional component of eating. As a matter of energy transfer, nutritionally perfect gruel should suffice. Everything else about eating--from mouthfeel, to taste, to the joys of community--is about our psyche. So, yeah, meals are work when you meet during them, but they are not the same. Nor are the meetings the same when you eat during them. It's all part of the complex world God made for us to move around in.
