leakyfloo

What's that? Where am I?" These were my first thoughts this morning. I awoke disconnected from my already thin grasp on reality. It took me a bit to get my bearings and go downstairs to feed the cats and make the coffee. Fortunately, both morning missions have been accomplished without incident and I am ready to face the day...well, almost. You see, I am coming down with something.

Two of my friends went to a Harry Potter convention, Leakycon. They returned home bearing the dreaded "leakyfloo." One of these friends is my church administrator. So, two things obviously need to happen now. First, I need to fire her. Second, I need to organize a book burning so that no one ever contracts a Potter-based virus again.

Mercy, thy name is zicam.

This is me in my mom mode... Under the circumstances you might want to have yourself checked out. If you really have the flu, your doc might want to test you for the dreaded H1N1 variety. Flu can be dangerous. Worrying is what I do best!

1) It's Leaky Floo (like the floo network).

2) I'd prefer you didn't fire my friend.

3) Book burning is a sin.

It is not technically the flu. It is, as Mae stated, the "floo."

I'll see about a doctor soon.

I feel about as disoriented in this conversation as you seem to have when you woke up this morning. ;-)

Also, i had a similar experience about a year ago but not when I woke up from a nights sleep, but after getting off one bus, and waiting for another, only to realize that I didn't know where I was, or where I was going. It passed quickly but for a moment it was frightening..

Well, of course I can be wrong. Never having heard of the floo network, I assumed the worst, which is a mother's prerogative. :-)
