Larry and Jorge have both taken this test recently. I've taken it before, but I thought I would join in the game. Here I am. Not surprising...
Here's a useful comparison or two.

Go here to take the test yourself. The Monday videoblog approacheth!
Posted by tripp at March 3, 2008 08:38 AMMy coordinates are Economic Left/Right: -8.12
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.28
That puts me somewhere to the southwest of you, three squares up from the bottom and two squares in from the left.
This is interesting to me, because I would never voluntarily label myself a Libertarian. In my experience of real-world Libertarians, they tend to lack compassion.

Economic Left/Right: -3.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.51
No great surprise, that.

I think you sense of "real-world" Libertarionas is due to the fact that most self-described libertarians are members of the Libertarian party which would be in the right bottom quadrant somewhere (I think). Also, the way libertarian is used in this heuristic device is roughly analogous to anarchist and/or individualist.
It is also intentionally not using the terms in the way they are used in American politics.
I was roughtly in the same place. The only two US presidential candidates in that quadrant were Dennis Kucinich and Mike Gravel -- all the others were on the authoritarian right.
