In Halloween, I viewed the characters as simply normal teenagers. Laurie, Jamie Lee's character, was shy and somewhat repressed. And Michael Myers, the killer, is definitely repressed. They have certain similarities.

Happy Halloween everyone! I hope you have some fun planned, something goulish, something wicked, maybe something with a little high fructose corn syrup included. Ah, candy.

Now don't misunderstand me. I'm not talking about self-flagellation or constantly praying for "us miserable sinners" who have a "sorely deserved punishment hanging over our heads." But what I am talking about is honestly. Like the psalmist says, God doesn't want burnt offerings, but rather humbleness and honesty and relationship.
