Couldn't agree more. I should just start going to the store and getting flatbread here, but I prefer freshly baked, so for now we're still using wafers. Maybe I need to start a baking ministry!
And yeah, laughing pretty hard, too!

It of course goes without saying that the various wafers were unconsecrated, and thus the handling of such did not violate any canonical norms (so far as I know).
But the reduction of one of the elements of Holy Communion to a taste test I found to be extremely insensitive and, in fact, a bit arrogant--the brief sermonette at the end notwithstanding, nor justificatory.
Certainly not very inclusive at all.
And believe me, given the most recent post on my blog, I am not above the humorous criticism of the Church (or what passes for such).
