The pastoral team from Reconciler met with the ecumenical officer from the Episcopal diocese this morning.
Very cool.
Much hope felt in this here Baptist.
In other news, I have been saying my good-byes at the hospital. This will be a slow week of farewells. The wondrous affirmation is that people want to know why the hospital does not have enough money to hire me full time. Such flattery! Such trust.
Thanks be to God.
Posted by tripp at August 29, 2005 04:03 PMHey Tripp,
I don't think I ever told you how closely my life has been tied up with LGH. That hospital was my first home: I was born there, and stayed for a number of weeks with complications. When I was nine, my mother went to work there. More than once, when youthful high spirits landed me in the ER, I could count on my mom being at work, and coming down to claim me. If you ask around, veteran nurses on 4W and 6E may still recall her (I share her last name). Later, I found work there as a technician for a few years; good employment, good benefits, good relationships. I'm glad you've had a good experience there; in a way, I feel a bit closer to you because of it. Peace, Brooke.
