I am back in Chicago. Virginia was great. I'll try to post about the trip later. Suffice it to say that Adam and Jen are married. The country music Trish and I had to sing at their service was not the end of me.
Oh, and someone invited me to come to Dr Falwell's church and speak.
Honest.
I am not lying.
I'll explain later.
Oh, and to add to the confusion, Beth pointed me to this test. How? Why? Can it be?
![]() | You scored as Evangelical Holiness/Wesleyan. You are an evangelical in the Wesleyan tradition. You believe that God's grace enables you to choose to believe in him, even though you yourself are totally depraved. The gift of the Holy Spirit gives you assurance of your salvation, and he also enables you to live the life of obedience to which God has called us. You are influenced heavly by John Wesley and the Methodists.

I came out as an Emergent/Postmodern.
My scores were not very high. Yours were much higher than mine.
My bro is a very happy Southern Baptist. I am attending an Episcopal church and very happy. We can see things totally opposite in different areas.
What is cool about my brother is he will say,
"I really don't know. I mean, none of us really know certain things. I guess we will find out one day. However, my gut feeling on this is..."
That is cool to me. He keeps openminded about it even though he has a very specific opinion on it.
His response however, about "not really knowing" is actually Emergent/Postmodern.
So, that is what keeps us from not "blasting" each other! :) :)
