is it really spring?

Well, in Chicago it is. This is the trouble with the renter's life in this blustery city. It is May. No more heat. It is 38 degrees. Of course, when it gets up to 80 this week (well above normal, btw), the heat will come on. It is just that way. So, I put another blanket on the bed and use the cats to keep me warm.

I love Chicago!

Oh...um...will I be excommunicated from the Church Universal if I decline to watch the last episode of FRIENDS? I am not sure I will be around to watch it...and, honestly, I never really go into the show. I know that it is "about my generation." I had just graduated college when it came out. All my friends watched it. Eh. Me, well, not so much. I am some kind of sinner.

Well, with this on top of your ice cream heresies, I think you can pretty-well hang up the whole salvation business. Seems I may end up joining you, though, because I'm not going to watch it either, even though it's an 'event' and 'closes an important chapter in our lives,' as we 'say goodbye to some old friends.'

If you'll excuse me, I have to go to confession now...

OH PLEASE! Only white people are saved by watching 'Friends' anyway. Or haven't y'all noticed how anglo their NYC seems to be, hmmm????

That being said, I'm gonna watch the last episode [if it is in fact this week], chiefly because Chandler/Matthew Perry is SO FUCKING FUNNY!!! Have y'all seen 'The Whole Nine Yards'? Strange movie - not a fave storyline - but that boy is a physical comedy Genius. I watch everything he does because he is up there with the Stooges and Charlie Chaplin. No kidding.

There. Here I stand. I can do no other.

Except to say that Eddie Izzard may be an instrument of salvation himself. If you haven't seen him .............
