Hey.
I was chased out of morning prayers by the devil again. So, in lieu of simply giving up, I brought my prayerbooks with me to my library carrel.
Lord, open our lips.
And our mouths shall proclaim your praise.

Officiant and People
Almighty God, Father of all mercies,

When my brother and I were little and we would do something mischievous, something we weren't suppose to -- my mom would come into the room and ask, "Who did this?!?"
My brother and I would say, "The devil made us do it." (We had heard that somewhere.)
Anyway, my mom would start hunting around the room. "Where is he? Where is that devil? Is he in the closet? No. Is he under the dining room table. No. Is he under the couch. No.
Hmmm. The only 2 people I see in this room are John and Teresa."
John and I by this time were giggling hysterically and we would say, "We did it!! We did it!! There is no devil. We did it!!"
Anyway, it was funny watching my mom look for the devil. She knew exactly what we were up to.
And seeing her running around we couldn't help but confess.
the devil makes me do odd things as well...like going the anglican way...stop fighting it anglobaptist!
