Thanks. I'm already aware of and have read the article.

He says some good things, but it's pretty clear that he justifies his own approach on his own terms. In other words, he assumes the conclusion in his premises.

Still, I have and have read the two books mentioned in the article that he's written (and will get and read the third when it's published), and I'm on a subscription to the ACCS series he edits. So it's not as though he doesn't say some good things and have some good insights.

But this interview, frankly, diminished his reputation for me. I had a much higher view of him from reading his books.

One other comment: many of the problems he highlights are distinctly western; and I agree with him, they are problems. But I think he's too innoculated now against Orthodoxy (essentially identifying it with Rome) to give it a fair hearing.
